Thursday 8 September 2016

Well the children have had a fantastic start to the year! We are certainly enjoying our new classroom and taking on new responsibilities. This week we have been revising place value in Maths and thinking about persuasive texts in English. In spite of the long break, they have written like demons! Well done Year 6! Our new topic is all about the world and we really enjoyed finding out about geographical terms and looking at atlases in more depth. Super start – well done Year 6!

The excitement is building up for Marrick! If you could not get to the meeting and have any questions, do please get in touch! You should receive a pack from you child even if you could not attend the recent meeting.

Yr 6 SATs

The year 6 team (Mrs Fox, Mrs Spedding and Mrs Strickland) would like to say a huge well done and thank you to all of year 6 for their amazing attitudes and effort during SATs week. You have done us and yourselves proud. Thank you also to parents for the support you have given our pupils at home in the run up to SATs. The progress your children have made since September is phenomenal - whatever the outcome of the tests!

We are looking forward to a jam-packed and exciting last term of school!
